​The Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac hosts the world's largest Labrador Retriever dog show — known simply as "The Potomac." Held every spring in Frederick, Maryland, it draws over 1,000 Labradors from across the country and around the world, and has been recognized as the Best Specialty Show in the nation. In April 2022, Bruce was awarded Select Dog at the Potomac — the second highest honor possible — placing him among the very best Labradors in the world that year. This is not a regional win. This is the pinnacle of the sport.
